I totally agree with Joe. As long as the women of the middle east take a back seat to democracy, they will never have equal rights and they will never be treated like a human being. Instead, they are treated like slaves whose only purpose in life is to get married to someone they never met at an age when they are still considered children in a normal society. According to Islam law, the woman must also consent to have sex with her husband every 4 days unless she is extremely ill or menstruating. Women cannot go outside unless covered from head to toe no matter what the temperature is outside, and they must be accompanied by a male relative! Unbelievable.

Tom, The story came from RAWA.org, if you are not familiar with the site, I suggest you get a bit of education on what happens outside the US.

Rawa is a well respected site covering women’s rights in Islamic countries.

Also, the Iran protests got less coverage than a lost dog in some LA suburb on the news. The way we all know is mainly from internet and much of that was also blocked. Don’t kid yourself, the shit’s NOT over exaggerated. BTW, the protests had nothing to do with a murder, it was political.
